What is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme?

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a rigorous, academically challenging and balanced two-year program of education designed to prepare students ages 16 to 19 for success at university and in life beyond.   It is truly an international program incorporating the best educational practices from around the world, while remaining free from the influence of any particular system or government.  In addition to academic excellence, it encourages inquiry, open-mindedness, intercultural understanding and the attitudes necessary to respect and evaluate a range of  viewpoints.
